Personalised Orthotic Solutions

In pain or unable to do the things you love? Have you got unresponsive foot, ankle, knee or leg problems?

These can be thoroughly frustrating with no let up from the painful symptoms. We thrive on resolving issues that seem almost impossible to sort out. When you’ve tried just about everything there is to help and haven’t been able to make progress….

We start with your expectations, goals, timescale and planned future activities to tailor a solution to your unique requirements.

Your feet work dynamically in three planes (frontal, sagittal and transverse) so doesn’t it make sense to be assessed dynamically in all three, rather than eyeballing or even filming from behind and the side?

By removing the guesswork and using objective measurements combined with cutting edge 3D dynamic analysis we can see what the naked eye cannot.

The solution is to combine this incredible level of detailed analysis with a detailed history of any disease processes, neurological problems, historic injuries, your footwear needs, work patterns, sports activities, and previous interventions.

What gets measured can be tracked. What gets accurately tracked can be adjusted and tailored for success.

With all the relevant details at our fingertips we can provide you with a plan for a successful outcome and can provide all the elements of care and treatment to help you get there.

Walk 3D/Run 3D

Get fit to run before running to get fit.

Are you thinking of running a marathon? Or even just a gentle jog to lose some weight and get fit?

Formula 1 teams don’t just turn up and race. It’s all in the preparation, assessment and mitigating risks as much as possible, beforehand.

50% of runners experience some sort of injury within a 12 month period. Avoid the physical pain and inconvenience of injury and becoming a statistic.

We use the same principles as “Walk 3D” with the advantage of capturing data in real time, from 29 points in 3D, up to 200 times a second giving unparalleled data to drive decisions for injury treatment and injury prevention.

Orthotics

Bespoke orthotics to alter timing and loading patterns during gait are tailored to your exact requirements. Digital scans of your feet are used to produce physical or digital lasts on which hand crafted orthotics are made or can be 3D printed, depending upon your exact requirements. Orthotics are produced using modern materials that are lightweight, strong and durable including carbon fibre. These can be combined with laser, shock wave therapy, tailored prehab and rehab programmes to access fast, effective outcomes rather than struggling on.

Consult with a podiatrist at The Exeter Clinic for your first step from pain and injury to comfort and activity. Call to arrange a consultation on (01392) 217333 or book online.
